Book Launched Event

On August 3rd, 2017, I went the book launch called the Mekong Shadows, Tales from Cambodia with my father and sister. I was the second winner in writing the short story under the theme “Noir”. There are about five or six Cambodian who wrote the story including me. I was the youngest author in the book and it made me nervous and excited.

 

My short story called “Little Girl and the Hat”. It was about the life of a little five-year-old girl who suffered from the loss of her mother and finance problems. The story express the feeling of younger with an adult mind because of the experiences she has been through.

MUN – 2018

MUN or also known as Model United Nation is one of the curriculums that requires the students to represent as a delegate of different countries. All the delegates are formed into difference committee to create resolutions to solve the world’s problems.

ICANMUN opened the conference in 9th to 10th of February. I was invited to be the delegate of Bangladesh in JG3. The problems that all the delegates in the house need to find the resolutions are the question of the rights of indigenous people and the question of protecting endangered species.

This had been a great experience and I am grateful to be a part of the conference. The skills such as public speaking, debating, and pursuing are very important to me because they are the skills that I need to improve.

Opening the World Through Nature Journalist

This is one of my favorite Expertise. The ideas were to observe the plants, draw the plants, dissects the plants, and identify the plants. We learned about the different section of flowers and tried to find the ovary, stigma, and style of flowers.

Buying Hydrophobic and Green roof materials

Sunday, October 29th, 2017, we went to Kanika shop to by hydrophobic materials. We also went to Happy garden Shop to look for the rocks and plants to grow on the roof. There were many beautiful plants there but we couldn’t find the one that we one. The plants that we want is the one that can be stayed under the sun for a long time, need less water, growing as flat format, big leaves, and short roots. It seems to be rare to find the species in Cambodia. As I observed, most of the plant’s shop is selling the plants that have beautiful flowers just for decoration.
